It's becoming more of a daily blog now. however, i didn't thought of it, while i was creating it.
Yesterday, I met a kid(ofcourse i know him), and i learnt a very good lesson from him. He taught me, that you should never be worried about any darn thing is this world.
Things happen and you cannot control them and he made me realize by breaking every damn rule of grammar. yet, he was able to explain each and every thing he wanted to, in a crystal clear way.
He wanted to tell me about a cute problem that he was suffering from and the problem was.. he wanted some candies and stationary from the market, I asked him to give me the list of all he wants from the market.
..and he writes "take 2tofi choclate pen cil kutar from market. come early". Now, this was written by a 5year old to me. I can point of several grammatical errors in that small sentence but why should I?
After all it came out of the purest thing in the world.. that is the heart of a child. Now, that small story tells us many things about our daily life and specially this is for copywriters.
He explained me each and every thing he wanted in some 7-8 words and Damn!! I was convinced that i had o buy all that for him.
The same rule applies in Creative biz. You need to be pure at heart, no matters what u want to tell people. Try using smallest possible sentences and paras.
Like this (Learnt it from Paul Fishlock).
Yeah, of course I read him!
Words are the deadliest weapons, try using them least.
I know I am not the best copywriter in the world not even standing in the qu of copywriters till date, but I've been working on it and, one day I am sure, I will be.
I am telling you what I've been told. Try n read as much u can. The best ideas come while reading(if we exclude the commode seats);D>
Break all the rules: there's a difference between a writer and a copywriter, being a writer you can express your feelings in ur own manner/way. But, as a copywriter, you have to convince other people to buy your(client's) product.
So, go to the extent you can with no boundations and no worries and no word limits and no nothing. Just try to convince your target audience.

Hi, this is something "about me"
Dated 10.10.09
I call myself a God made machine, manufactured somewhere in the mid of 80s. Working good since then, sometimes need more oiling and servicing at regular intervals.
Over all rated performance is not that great, but I am working on it.
I was an art person and have worked with some agencies like Dentsu, Percept- while working in the designing world. soon got to realize that 'art of designing' was NOT my cup of tea as the machine was not performing well there.
So, soon I left the virtuosity of designing and decided to come into the world of words. Here, i met some of very good mates and the best part being they are not human. yeah, they are 'words' (so, i can trust them).
I meet them in every part of world, but officially i meet them in my office, that is Ogilvy and Mather (an ad agency), Mumbai, India. where we usualy have a fight, and obviously i win (I am a GOD MADE machine).
It, in simple words means, that I am a copy writer, who likes playing with words.
